Social media for me

Blogger
Well, blogger is the best way to tell people about what I'm doing in detail. They can get the idea of my social campaign, but blogger gives them a look inside the process, inside my mind.

Twitter
I love twitter and it's my favorive platform/ It's very useful in reading and posting short updates. Twitter gives me an opportunity to keep track of events and notify people about my news without spending much of MY VALUABLE TIME.

YouTube

of course I can describe how my ukrainian lacrosse club would play the game  (if you read the previous posts, you'll understand this example), but isn't it better to share a link on the youtube video of the game? people like to see, people like to see motion!

Facebook

For me, faceook is the easiest way to get new suppurters or attract people to my club or volunteering. I can text people and ask if the are interested in doing some philanthropy or they just become ineterested themselves because of the links, pictures and everything else I post on facebook!

Instagram

Istagram is kind of like twitter, but these short updates are visual. I'm a good photographer and I bet people will be interested in my social campaign after they see the pictures of it in practice.

LinkedIn

This platform is for advanced purposes and I would use after my campaign gets to a certain level and then I can work with different organization, sponsors and supporters. Linked in id easy way to connect with them/ I also can connect people with similar to mine purposes and share experience, ask for advises etc.

follow me and don't follow silly pages because you'll WASTE YOUR TIME reading their posts!

GO ON EXCHANGE

http://www.americancouncils.org.ua/uk/news/295/

So teenagers here you are!  I found one more incredible activity for you. It's even opportunity. Participate in exchange program! As you can read in the article, this year's selection's been over, but if you can try it next year! Besides, you don't really need to study something or prepare. All you need is to be yourself. Participating in the exchange program and selection process is a nice way to spend your time in another country, with new family, school, food, language and blablabla")

don't miss your chance

I guess y'all know about current events in Ukraine. The link above is a video of volunteers cleaning Kiev's main square. Firs of all, it's very nice to see people doing this without waiting for any reward. It may sounds lame, but you should consider that volunteering is way less popular in Ukraine than it is in the US and that's why I'm pleasantly surprised:)

Even foreign people are helping, thanks a lot!:)

Bring Lacrosse to Ukraine

So, me being fond of lacrosse and my social campaign work pretty well together. Because... I want to start lacrosse in Ukraine! I've realized how much I'll miss lacrosse after I go back and I started to think how can I keep playing lacrosse there. First, I decided to take 2 sticks, so that I can just pass the ball with somebody, but now it doesn't seem enough for me. I want to play the actual games and it is a perfect solution for the time-wasting problem! I'm thinking about starting a lacrosse club in my school. I'm not sure that it's possible< though, because lacrosse is that kind of sport which is played outside..and Ukrainian climate is not the best for such purposes. I'm not gonna give up! I've emailed my teacher in Ukraine and shared this idea. Will see!

here you can see that there is a lacrosse club in Kiev, but it's very amateur. We have to develop and advocate lacrosse in Ukraine!

Very proud of the Ukrainian teenager Denis Stepura who is among the winner of this year's Staying Alive competition. The awards are given to young people as well as youth organizations engaged in grass roots HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention campaigns. Denis is the only winner from Europe. All other winners come from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Look at him, guys! Denis has proved 2 important things: 1)social media can change the world, 2)if you're trying to do this, and not wasting your time.
